September-Courtesy (using polite words such as please, thank you, and excuse me, and friendly words to greet each other such as hello and good morning; having good manners and being considerate, kind, and respectful to others) October-Patience (waiting without getting angry or upset and without complaining, not interrupting) November-Respect (using good manners and kind words, respecting others' personal space , listening and following directions, thinking before speaking, sharing and taking turns)
March Madness Attendance Challenge For the month of March, we will be having an attendance challenge. Classes have been randomly placed in a bracket (see below). Prizes are bragging rights and an ice cream party!
Random Acts of Kindness Week February 11-17, 2018 is Random Acts of Kindness Week. I will be sending home a Kindness Challenge brochure (see below). Students can complete the acts of kindness, cross them off, get your signature, and bring it back for a small prize. Students have until the end of February to complete the kind acts. Please encourage your kids to participate!
National School Counseling Week February 5-9, 2018 is National School Counseling Week. This week highlights the impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career. This week, and every day, I'm thankful for the help of everyone else in ensuring the success of students. "Every child deserves a champion-an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best they can possibly be." -Rita F. Pierson
